After 3 month in Brazil, it was time to move to another place; MAUI, HAWAII

I had a very good time in Brazil, I meet a lot of nice people and it was almost every day wind ;-)

The rain season starts now and that was the sign for me to move....

So, after a VERY long trip from Recife to Miami, then Dallas (one night at the airport), then LA and finally to MAUI

I can stay at a friends place/house, which is so beautiful, thank you very much Greg.
I am excited to discover MAUI.......

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Manu

BARRA GRANDE I had to check out this place

The way from Taiba to barra grande is sooooooo long.... incredible, when you are near jeri you are still fare away from barra grande... so after around 6 hours we arrived there.

The village is very nice and the people are friendly. The pousadas are beautiful but so expensive..... 100 Reais and more..... if you don't want to stay in a dormitory.
We almost gave up to find a nice place for good money..... but we were lucky and a very nice local family had this sweet apartment for us :-)

So the village is super but how is the kitespot.....
-The first thing is that there is no wind before 10 o'clock...
-The spot close to the village works only around low tide
- The lagoon is good around high tide and is far off....
- The wind is so strong.....

After one day and a terrible upwinder from the lagoon we decided to leave our beautiful apartment because this spot is nothing for us, because we are looking for safe places to train new moves.

So we drove back to ceara and we stopped by ilha do guajiru in the pousada of our friend joseph the PURA VIDA CLUB.

We had a few good day but after a night with a lot of rain, there is just no wind..... as you can see.... not even a breeze...

Best spot I have seen until now, here in Brazil.....

After a awesome time with Manuela and Philipp, in Taiba in their beautiful house, I am back in Barra Nova.... already the 4th time.

I love this place, there ist nothing else to do then kiting, so enough to do for me.

A huge lagune.... with no people = perfect conditions for me to train.... and crash ;-)

The infrastructure in this place is not that good, exept the kite-school escape where you can kite, eat and sleep.
